It’s hard to believe we’re celebrating Eat PR & Marketing’s second birthday!
It’s been an exhilarating journey and one that in truth, has gone by in the blink of an eye – there’s something truly humbling about going for it and running a business.
From the seed of an idea back in 2021 – a time when the foodservice and hospitality industry was beginning to see the light at the end of a Covid-shaped tunnel – to today, where our wonderful team of four (soon to be five), network of outstanding freelancers and incredible portfolio of clients have helped us grow and become one of the most respected food and drink communications agencies. The past two years have been nothing short of outstanding.
The foodservice and hospitality industry is somewhere I’ve been fortunate enough to work for more than 20 years. Firstly, behind the pass, as a chef in several gastropubs and formal restaurants, before moving front-of-house to manage some of the most prestigious dining spaces in numerous sporting arenas. After that, and for more than a decade, I’ve been lucky enough to help suppliers market their products and services to operator customers across the UK. I genuinely couldn’t think of another sector I’d rather work in.
It’s an industry built around people. Whether it’s the people we work with or the people we serve, relationships are everything – and this is something I’m immensely proud of. Our reputation, and ultimately our success, is built on the relationships we have with our clients, with the media, with operators and with many others throughout the sector. It’s the strength of these relationships that has brought new business our way, enabled us to continue delivering above and beyond client expectations and allowed me to build such a fantastic team.
While it’s been challenging, this past year has exceeded every projection I had for the business. From doubling the size of the team and moving into our first office at the Glove Factory Studios in Wiltshire, not only has Eat PR & Marketing retained every client, we’ve been appointed by numerous others too – including several on an international level. This past year has been extraordinary.
From a client perspective, there have been some great highlights. From project managing the build of fully optimised and interactive websites, to launching national awards which recognise and reward operator success; building partnerships with respected sporting and leisure venues in association with clients, to securing national client coverage. It’s been a year of variety, driven by collaboration and creativity.
None of this could have been achieved without the continued hard work, dedication and perseverance of the Eat PR & Marketing team. While relatively small by headcount, the determination to do good for our clients is evident for all to see. When I founded Eat PR & Marketing, I established one of our core values – transparency. Transparency to do the right thing and transparency to deliver what we know is best for clients. To this day, it’s a value each of the team embraces – so for that, I want to say a massive thank you for all that you do. Similarly, to our wonderful freelance designers, photographers, videographers, web developers, writers, admin assistants and many others – thank you for contributing to the service we offer. To the trade journalists, media and publishers, the level of support you’ve shown to us, and to our clients is incredible and something we appreciate more than we could ever say.
We wouldn’t be here, celebrating our second birthday, had it not been for our extraordinary portfolio of clients – several of whom have been with us right from the beginning. The fact every one of our clients puts their trust in us day in and day out, to deliver marketing campaigns, manage their reputation and advise on communications strategy is incredible. The fact many of them go out of their way to recommend us to others is a privilege I’m very thankful for.
Thank you to every single person who has been part of our journey so far. It means so much to me and the Eat PR & Marketing team to have your ongoing support. As we look forward to our third year in business, we wanted to mark the occasion, which is why we’re proud to showcase our new branding! Our new logo retains our corporate colours but with a subtle typography change to give a bold new look, which demonstrates our professionalism and expertise and takes us into 2024 and beyond. Let us know what you think…
